| 2002 Awards 2002 Critics' Circle National Dance Awards The Awards ceremony was held on the 14th January 2003 at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London De Valois Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance Christopher Bruce Best Male Dancer Thomas Edur for his performances as a Principal with English National Ballet The Richard Sherrington Award for Best Female Dancer Alina Cojocaru for her performances as a Principal with the Royal Ballet Best Choreography (Classical) Christopher Hampson for his Double Concerto for English National Ballet Best Choreography (Modern) Mark Morris for 'V' for the Mark Morris Dance Group Outstanding Young Female Artist (Modern) Joanne Fong for her performances with Arc Dance Company Outstanding Young Male Artist (Modern) Martin Lindinger for his performances with Rambert Dance Company Best Foreign Dance Company Mark Morris Dance Group for its Umbrella season at Sadler's Wells Theatre Outstanding Young Female Artist (Classical) Marianela Nuñez for her performances as a Soloist with the Royal Ballet Outstanding Young Male Artist (Classical) Ivan Putrov for his performances as a Soloist with the Royal Ballet Company Prize for Outstanding Repertoire (Classical) Birmingham Royal Ballet Company Prize for Outstanding Repertoire (Modern) Rambert Dance Company Awards Committee Special Awards Special awards are given at the discretion of the Awards Committee to a person or persons whose excellence in his/her particular field of dance is not recognised by the present award categories.
