Bolshoi Ballet
The Bolshoi Ballet is riding high under Alexei Ratmansky's leadership. He has revitalised the company and also extended the repertory, as well as revising existing productions. The dancers shine brightly both individually and as an ensemble, as could be witnessed last season not only in staples like Don Quixote but also in one-acters such as Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room and the Messerer Class Concert, which displayed their extraordinary, seemingly effortless, virtuosity, stamina and charm.

Dutch National Ballet
Under its young and imaginative artistic director, Ted Brandsen, the Dutch National Ballet enjoyed an outstanding season at Sadlerís Wells which included Four Last Songs by Rudi van Dantzig, Suite For Two by Krzystof Pastor, Frank Bridge Variations by Hans van Manen and The Second Detail by William Forsythe. The standard of dancing was extremely high. The company is based in Amsterdam and boasts a large repertoire of full-length classical ballets and many exciting modern works.

Thanks to such successful creations as this one, Morris remains of the most popular and in demand dance makers worldwide.
