Michael Keegan-Dolan
He is the most outstanding choreographic voice to have emerged from Ireland in the last half century. Keegan-Dolan has created work for the National Theatre, Royal Opera House and English National Opera, as well as many opera houses in Europe and the United States. Work for his own company, Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre, includes full evening works: Sunday Lunch, Fragile, The Flowerbed, the Olivier nominated Giselle and The Bull. The latter three were co-productions with The Barbican Theatre of which Fabulous Beast is an Associate Company. This year’s nomination is for The Flowerbed.

Wayne McGregor
Born in Stockport and trained at University College, Bretton Hall and at the Jose Limon School in New York, Wayne McGregor has directed his own company Random since 1992, while also making work for Rambert and the Royal Ballet. His keen embrace of science and technology, of pop and cyber culture, has made him one of Britain's top-ranked choreographers. Amu (2005), his collaboration with the composer Sir John Tavener, was a fascinating production inspired by the heart. McGregor has just been appointed as Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet.

Fin Walker
Joint Artistic Director, with Ben Park, of Walker Dance Park Music, Fin Walker is a highly individual choreographer who has worked with Candoco Dance Company, Rambert Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Ricochet. Walker Dance Park Music is an Associate Company of ROH2 and has premiered a number of works at the Royal Opera House. Walker’s work is characterised by strongly crafted, intense and often violently physical dance movement. She has been nominated previously for Silence of the Soul and her nomination this year is for Man and Woman, created for her own company.
