Wayne McGregor
Born in Stockport and trained at University College, Bretton Hall and at the Jose Limon School in New York, Wayne McGregor has directed his own company Random since 1992, while also making work for Rambert and the Royal Ballet. His keen embrace of science and technology, of pop and cyber culture, has made him one of Britain's top-ranked choreographers. Amu (2005), his collaboration with the composer Sir John Tavener, was a fascinating production inspired by the heart. McGregor has just been appointed as Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet.
