Rafael Bonachela
(Rambert Dance Company)

Born in Barcelona, Rafael trained at the London Studio Centre and joined Rambert in 1992. His first choreographic work for Rambert was Three Gone, Four Left Standing, premiered in 1992. In 2001 his film, Nowhere Better Than This Place was screened on Channel 4 and in 2002 Rafael choreographed Kylie Minogue's appearance at the Brit Awards, her Favour world tour, the Love At First Sight video and her Christmas tour. In 2003 Rafael choreographed for Rambert 21 , featuring video and sound recordings of Kylie Minogue and was appointed Associate Choreographer of Rambert Dance Company.

Akram Khan
(Akram Khan)

Born in London, Khan studied at The Academy of Indian Dance, De Montford University and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. He has performed all around the world, including taking part in Ravi Shankar's The Jungle Book and Peter Brook's Mahabharata. In 1999Khan won a Jerwood Foundation Choreographic Award. In August 2000 he created his own dance company as well as winning a place in the X-Group Choreographic Laboratory and winning both the Time Out Live and the Critics' Circle National Dance Award for Outstanding Newcomer (Modern). Akram Khan is currently Choreographer in Residence at The Royal Festival Hall.

Fin Walker
(Walker Dance)

Jerwood Award winner Fin Walker is Joint Artistic Director with composer Ben Park, of Walker Dance Park Music. The company was established in 1998 after Walker ceased working as a dancer with British choreographers including Jonathan Burrows, Rosemary Butcher and Laurie Booth. The duo have created work for Candoco Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Ricochet Dance Productions are currently working with Rambert Dance Company on a new work to be premiered in March 2004. Walker Dance Park Music are the Associate Company at the Royal Opera House. They will be performing their new work, Silence of the Soul, throughout the Autumn of 2003 and the Spring of 2004. The London premiere of Silence of the Soul will be at the ROH in February 2004.
