Clara Barbera
(Rambert Dance Company)
Spanish-born Clara Barbera trained in Valencia and then at the English National Ballet School. In 1997 she joined English National Ballet, dancing solo roles on tour in Apollo, Pas de Quatre and The Nutcracker. She moved to Rambert Dance Company in 2004, establishing herself as a feisty contemporary dancer in a range of roles in the company's extensive repertoire.

Sally Marie
(Sweetshop Revolution and freelance)
Once called “a national treasure” by John Ashford, director of The Place, Sally Marie performed the pulverising central role in Luca Silvestrini’s B for Body, hotly tipped to win last year’s Place Prize. She recently launched her own company Sweetshop Revolution with a dance-theatre piece Dulce et Decorum at The Place. She also created and performed The Extra, in the Linbury’s “Firsts” season. Her work is notable for its potent mix of humour and pathos.

Kialea-Nadine Williams
(Phoenix Dance Company)
Kialea-Nadine Williams started her dance training through Swindon Dance Studios’ Youth Talent programme, where she has continued to teach and choreograph. After graduating from the Rambert School in 2002, she joined Phoenix Dance Company until July this year, when she left to work with Michael Clark. She was outstanding in Phoenix’s revival of Jane Dudley’s solo, Harmonica Breakdown, which she performed with intense commitment.
