Leeds-based Northern Ballet Theatre was founded in 1969, the first British ballet company to be based outside London. A classical company noted for narrative, full evening works, the company tirelessly tour taking ballet to highly appreciative audiences the length and breadth of the county. For more about the company: Northern Ballet Theatre web site Voting for the 2004 Audience award is now closed and the results will be announced on Thursday 20 January 2005 at the 5th Critics' Circle National Dance Awards in London. This site and page will announce the results as soon as they become available. Thank you to all who voted. The Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards Audience Award gives you the chance to... vote for your favourite dance or ballet company from those you have seen over the last year in the UK. To vote simply text the name of the company to 07946 702 700 For Example: To vote for John Smith Dance Company, simply text “John Smith Dance Company” to 07946 702 700. If you are unable to send a text message we offer an alternative way of voting. Just leave a message on 07946 702 700 telling us the name of the company you want to vote for. Deadline for voting: 31 December 2004. Only one vote per person will be counted and it’s the last vote that counts if you vote more than once. Call Cost: This is not a premium service - you just pay your normal network rate for sending a text message. The winner will be the company that receives the biggest number of responses in relation to the size of its audience. The award will be announced at the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards Ceremony on 20 January 2005.
