Stop Press - 2007 Results announced Stop Press - Press release link Stop Press - Photographs of the Awards The site is also updated throughout to show the winners. The 2007 National Dance Awards were held at London's Royal Opera House on Tuesday 22 January, 2008. The aim of the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards is the celebration of dance and dancers in Britain. Founded just eight years ago in 1999 the awards have rapidly become the dance event of the year drawing togther the entire industry in sharing the very best of dance and ballet in the UK. It is only natural that dance critics should celebrate as well as evaluate the art form about which they write and the National Dance Awards aim to highlight the astonishing diversity of dance in Great Britain that adds beauty to all our lives. Dancers and dance-makers make a vital contribution to the vibrant cultural life of these islands and the National Dance Awards are our way of saying congratulations – and thank you. No such endeavour can be undertaken without support and we would like to thank our sponsors, whose logo's appear here, and the many other people who make these awards a vibrant reality.
The dancer image used by the National Dance Awards was generously and especially created for us by Deborah MacMillan.
